an upturned boat

I went for a walk in a new to me spot this afternoon, and I enjoyed the sun setting and the sparkles on the water. I always love seeing upturned boats on the water's edge and imagine what their story might be. Maybe it's used to row out to a bigger boat, or to go on a fishing adventure, or maybe hardly used at all.  So many possibilities.

Out of place

I saw this whilst on holiday last week, wouldn't you just love to run on this treadmill with that view

bodies of water

I went for a bushwalk in our coastal area on the weekend with some friends, mostly to look for some spring flowers. We found some, but it's always spectacular to find yourself in an elevated position looking down on an expansive body of water.

The English Channel

We took our dog Max to the seaside on Friday. He had to dash across the pebbled beach to reach the very bracing English Channel and if he had turned around swum out further he would eventually have got to France! The beautiful cliffs you can see above him are the Seven Sisters and they stretch along the coast of East Sussex. We did walk up the cliff but I was so scared that Max was going to fall off the edge that I bailed very quickly! It's so different to life at the beach for Max that he once knew in Sydney and this was his first swim in over a year and needless to say, it was too cold for us to join him.
