Misty morning

 I spent the weekend in the country at my mother's house and when I am staying over I love to get up really early as it is so quiet and peaceful and on Sunday I was lucky enough to catch the tail end of the morning fog. 

Wispy clouds and an early morning

I always love the early morning and especially a sun rise over water.  It's spring in Australia and the days are getting longer and warmer. Looking over the still lagoon to the sand and then the ocean is a lovely and colourful way to start the day.  I also enjoy seeing the wispy clouds and their reflections on the still water.

It's getting colder here and the afternoons are getting darker earlier, soon the clocks will change. I haven't taken any pictures for ages, seem to be in a winter fug slump which hopefully will pass. I do find that there still is beauty in these tempestuous skies, don't you?

 

an upturned boat

I went for a walk in a new to me spot this afternoon, and I enjoyed the sun setting and the sparkles on the water. I always love seeing upturned boats on the water's edge and imagine what their story might be. Maybe it's used to row out to a bigger boat, or to go on a fishing adventure, or maybe hardly used at all.  So many possibilities.
