Where the land meets the sea

 This is cuckmere haven in East Sussex. I love this lighthouse and cliff walk and if you swam out to sea you would reach France. 

Where the desert meets the sea

 The skeleton coast on the west coast of Namibia is a place of many shipwrecks. It's where the Namib Desert meets the Atlantic Ocean and is quite a treacherous length of coast with pounding waves, strong winds and foggy weather. This particular shipwreck occurred in the early 2000's.
